This plant from the Philippines is called Makahiya, in english it translates to "shy." I though of this plant early on during my research but too quickly dismissed it. Perhaps this is not an exact demonstration of ether but I think it is interesting to see such a reaction from a mere plant. This idea of unexpected phenomena is what I would like to capture in my project.
The form and delicacy of the exposed copper wire was derived from the leaves of the makahiya. My past ether experiments dealt with charges turning a light on or off, currently I am experimenting with ways of making the overall action more dramatic without overpowering the poetic qualities of ether.

Hi Goretti
This stuff is getting very interesting. I think you are at a point where you can wind down the wide net of "finding technology" research and start exploring the implications of the sensor you are building.
First off materially
If you think about it, the copper wire has transformed from a schematic "line" (being the wire) to a spread out textile. Its volume has expanded and it seems to be making its own space. The options for this expansion can become really interesting: it can be a weave: netting, wide open as a geodescic structure, or it can become a tight weave like a piece of clothing. It can also be both so that it can start navigating both scales. It can be environmental or even both. A suggestion could be to start to intergrate this wiring into textile by either a felting process or even a weaving process.
Secondly experiencially
you need to develop the experiential scenario. You've clearly demonstrated the phenomonon. Now what? how do you hope to set the phenomenon off? contact touch? proximity? through what scale? hand scale? room schale? building scale? You need to sketch and develop a scenario of sketches for this so that we have an idea of what the magnitude will be.
How will this materially work? Will it be series of sensors? will it be a mesh? what kind of movement will it track? intenitonal (dance drawing etc) and what for?
Synthetically
Finally, how does this all come together? what scale and what are the intentions behind it?
in other words : what is your scheme?
enhance elaborate and develop....
YOu've got lots of work ahead of you
